HAMILTON (Oct. 20) - Fans of fun, football, music and more will be able to access free return transportation from accommodations in Niagara Falls to the Grey Cup Festival and the 110th Grey Cup game in Hamilton – thanks to a partnership between the Ontario government and the 2023 Grey Cup Festival.
"We are proud to partner with event organizers to provide fans with a convenient way to enjoy Canada’s most prestigious sporting event,” said Neil Lumsden, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport. “With access to this complimentary transportation service, fans visiting from near and far have an opportunity to enjoy the beauty and excitement of the region, while taking part in a memorable Grey Cup experience.”
Beginning on Thursday, November 16, buses will pick up fans in the Fallsview district in Niagara Falls and drop them off at the 2023 Grey Cup Festival footprint in downtown Hamilton. On game day, November 19, buses will drop fans off on Gage Ave., near Tim Hortons Field, ahead of the 110th Grey Cup game. Return transportation will also be provided.
“Our vision has always been to create a Grey Cup experience that’s, as we say, made in the Hammer, but which also embraces the larger region to ensure as many visiting fans as possible can experience the Grey Cup Festival and Game in Hamilton,” said Matt Afinec, President & COO, Business Operations, Hamilton Sports Group. “This transportation service is an important part of making that vision a reality by connecting Niagara Falls and Hamilton in a safe and cost-effective way.”
