CARSTAR ANNOUNCED AS AN OFFICIAL PARTNER OF THE 2023 GREY CUP FESTIVAL

HAMILTON (Sept. 12) – The 2023 Grey Cup Festival and CARSTAR announced an agreement that sees CARSTAR become an official partner of the 2023 Grey Cup Festival. As part of the agreement, CARSTAR will be the presenting partner of the CFL Alumni Association Legends Luncheon.

“We’re thrilled to have CARSTAR as a signature partner of the 2023 Grey Cup Festival,” said Gerry Fonzo, General Manager of the 2023 Grey Cup. “Having CARSTAR as the presenting partner of the CFLAA Legends Luncheon will be key for a great hosting of CFL alumni and fans in our city this fall.”

The CFLAA Legends Luncheon is a unique opportunity that offers fans the chance to mingle with great CFL players of the past and offers a live auction, a silent auction and other fundraising opportunities. The event is highlighted by a hot stove where CFL alumni share their first-hand experiences and recount stories from their playing days. The event takes place on Friday, November 17 at LiUNA Station.

“We thank CARSTAR for stepping up as the title supporting The CFLAA Legends Luncheon.  Our Luncheon has been a go-to Grey Cup event since 2009.  The luncheon brings together former players and fans from across Canada and the US to celebrate the history of the Grey Cup and our great CFL,” said Leo Ezerins, Executive Director, CFL Alumni Association. “The event has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for our association and, most importantly, for the CFLAA Support Fund, a fund to help former players and their families with financial challenges due to medical issues.  You never know what will happen at the Luncheon.”

In addition, CARSTAR will also be involved in other elements of the 2023 Grey Cup Festival, including a float in the Hamilton Santa Claus and Grey Cup Parade, activations in Fan Central and presenting a cystic fibrosis fundraiser.

“Community and care are at the heart of everything CARSTAR does, and this partnership is a fantastic way of bringing that mission to life,” said Michael Macaluso, EVP and Group President, PC&G, Driven Brands. “We look forward to continuing to engage with those in our community and are thrilled to sponsor the 2023 Grey Cup Festival!”
