2. Start the week with a bang at the SiriusXM Kickoff Party

When: Wednesday, Nov. 16
Where: International Trade Centre, REAL District
Time: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Cost: FREE

Juno-Award-winning Colin James will headline the Sirius XM Kick-Off Party that will officially launch the 2022 Grey Cup Festival and welcome the championship trophy to Regina. This all-ages event is an opportunity to enjoy live music and experience Riderville before it becomes a 19+ venue the next day. Doors open at 5 p.m.

 

3. Visit Mosaic Village

All indoor spaces of the Grey Cup Festival footprint are collectively known as Mosaic Village, sponsored by The Mosaic Company. The Grey Cup Festival includes all activities and events leading up to the championship game on Sunday, November 20. This year, for the first time ever, the entire five-day festival – including the championship game – will be held entirely in one location at REAL District (formerly Evraz Place).

4. Get your game on at the Digital Zone, presented by SaskTel

Families, sports fans and tech gurus unite in this lively, interactive area that features video games, sports experiences and interactive technology. Pose with the Pros at our virtual photo booth, battle it out against your friends or fellow fans in the ultimate video game challenge and take part in a virtual field goal kicking competition. It’s a fun, interactive way to get your game on!

 

5. Party ‘hearty’ in the team party rooms

Eight CFL teams plus the Atlantic Schooners will be represented at the ages 19+ Team Party Rooms. The popular three-day pass gives access to all rooms, including:

6. Slide on out to the NexGen Energy Street Festival

Enjoy three days of family-friendly activities in a giant outdoor playground with games, cozy warm-up campfire stations, interactive booths and giveaways, light displays, music on the Harvard Media Community Stage and the SaskPower Tube Slide for those who are more adventurous.

 

7. See the gaming pros at the Esports Path to Glory tournament

Experience more than 200 professional players as they face off to win the largest prize pool ever offered in Canada for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Pre-tournament activities, including a chance to try it for yourself, will take place on Thursday, with the Path to Glory Tournament on Friday and Saturday. The tournament features winners from nine lead-up events representing CFL markets from across the country and internationally ranked competitors from around the world. The tournament will have professional casting, with a live stream on Twitch.tv

 

8. Go on an adventure with the Grey Cup Festival Heartland Quest

This fun and interactive experience will take you through the 2022 Grey Cup Festival site to collect digital tokens and compete for prizes. It’s like the Amazing Race, only Grey Cup Festival style!

 

9. Get pumped up for the game at the Capital Auto Outdoor Tailgate

When: Sunday, Nov. 20
Where: Outdoors at Confederation Park, REAL District
Time:Noon to 5 p.m.
Cost: Free with Grey Cup game ticket

CFL fans will unite for this traditional outdoor tailgate party, free for Grey Cup game ticket holders. Adjacent to the CFL Fan Zone partner activation areas, the tailgate offers live entertainment, food and beverage options.

 

10. Party with the Hunter Brothers at the Dye & Durham Indoor Tailgate

When: Sunday, Nov. 20
Where: International Trade Centre at REAL District
Time: Noon to 5 p.m.

Get pumped up for the big game with the Hunter Brothers. Thousands of CFL fans from across Canada will gather in their team colours to enjoy live entertainment, great food and a unique camaraderie that only the CFL can bring. Warm up before the big game and cheer on the best teams in the league in this pre-game celebration.

11. Cheer on the best of the best at the 2022 Player Awards

When: Thursday, Nov. 17
Where: Conexus Arts Centre
Time: 6 to 9 p.m.

TSN’s Kate Beirness hosts the CFL’s most prestigious event of the year to celebrate the season’s top on-field performances, head coaches and personnel from across the league. This year’s CFL Awards will honour several influential women from across Saskatchewan who have played a significant role in impacting football across the province and the country, including local heroes, long-standing fans and leaders in the Indigenous community.

 

12. Join CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie for the state of the league address

When: Friday, Nov. 18
Where: International Trade Centre, REAL District
Time: 10 a.m.
Cost: Free

Commissioner Ambrosie will provide an update on the direction of the league and take questions from fans in the audience. Hosted by the CFL’s Kristina Costabile, the Grey Cup and the Fan Base will be on site.  The first 500 fans to arrive will receive a complimentary replica of the coin used for 109th Grey Cup Coin Toss!

 

13. Rub elbows with CFL Alumni at the Legends Luncheon, presented by Phoenix Group

When: Friday, Nov. 18
Where: Queensbury Convention Centre Grand Ballroom at REAL District

This fan-favourite event includes a meal, silent auction, live auction, and heads-or-tails fundraiser. CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie and the Grey Cup championship trophy will also be in attendance. A highlight of the event is the Hot Stove, hosted by former CFLer Marshall Hamilton, where you’ll learn the inside scoop and hear first-hand stories from CFL alumni.

 

14. Sing at the top of your lungs to The Road Hammers at the Canadiana Gala, presented by ISC

There’s no better way to kick off the 2022 Grey Cup Festival than a free pancake breakfast! Join Indigenous entertainers and dignitaries at this all-ages community gathering to celebrate the festival and send the Grey Cup down the highway to Regina.

 

16. Track the trophy on its way to Regina during the Purolator Highway 11 Cup Run

When: Wednesday, Nov. 16
Where: Saskatoon and ending in Regina
Time:Leaving Saskatoon at 12:30 p.m. and arriving in Regina at approximately 4:30 p.m.
Cost: FREE

Be part of the excitement as the Grey Cup starts its journey down Highway 11 to Regina. A convoy with live broadcasting will bring the iconic championship trophy on its way to the Queen City with some brief community stops along the way. The Grey Cup will arrive in Regina just in time for the SiriusXM Kickoff Party.

 

17. Make memories that last at the SaskPower Family Fair

This indoor, family-focused and interactive area will be loads of fun for youngsters and the young at heart. Enjoy exciting experiences and memorable moments like a military obstacle course, inflatable bouncers and an amped-up selfie boutique that will keep everyone entertained for hours.

 

18. Chow down on free pancakes at the Calgary Grey Cup Committee Pancake Breakfast

Experience a genuine Calgary Stampede breakfast without actually going to Stampede! The Calgary Grey Cup Committee is a group of passionate, enthusiastic, team-oriented folks who are proud of what they do and love to share their excitement every year across Canada.

 

19. Play hard at Huddle in the Heartland, presented by Sask Lotteries

Calling all youth ages 5 to 12 to huddle up in the heartland and learn the great game of Canadian football. Football Saskatchewan will lead the interactive programming to advance development of the sport in the province and help young people grow their skills in the game. From accuracy throwing to kicking, running and more, this is a hands-on, fun experience. Participants can expect CFL Alumni appearances during the three-day event.

 

20. Explore the province at Gainer’s Heartland, presented by Tourism Saskatchewan

When: Thursday, Nov. 17 to Sat., Nov. 19
Where: Ag-Ex Pavilion at REAL District
Time: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

This indoor space will transport visitors to the heart of Saskatchewan with the opportunity to explore our Indigenous roots. In partnership with Wanuskewin Heritage Park, this family-friendly space will be THE place to capture a 2022 Grey Cup Festival photo and a free Grey Cup scarf, courtesy of Tourism Saskatchewan. Activities will be geared towards younger children with both high-energy experiences and quiet, more passive ways to experience the Grey Cup Festival.

 

21. Get hyped at the Cheer Extravaganza

When: Saturday, Nov. 19
Where: Brandt Centre at REAL District

Cost: $20. free for youth 14 and under

This family friendly event will hype your excitement up to game level. This fun and engaging event combines performances from everyone’s favourite CFL cheer and dance teams with performances from amazing local groups.
